Ingrid’s election to ABOTA is a very prestigious moment for Ingrid and our firm and we are thrilled to share the news with you.
Founded nearly sixty years ago, ABOTA is a national association of experienced trial lawyers and judges. ABOTA and its members are dedicated to the preservation and promotion of the civil jury trial right provided by the Seventh Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. ABOTA membership is exclusive and consists of only 7,300 lawyers and judges nationwide, divided into 94 chapters spread around the country, including the San Francisco Chapter to which Ingrid has been elected.
ABOTA is an invitation-only organization. Members must have at least five years of active experience as trial lawyers, have tried at least 7 civil jury trials to conclusion, and possess additional litigation experience. Members must also exhibit the virtues of civility, integrity and professionalism by following ABOTA’s codes of professional conduct and rules of civility in litigation.
Ingrid fulfills all these credentials and more. She has been practicing law for over 30 years here in California, with Bar admissions also in New York, the District of Columbia, and various federal U.S. District Courts and U.S. Circuit Courts of Appeal around the country. She has appeared before the U.S. Supreme Court.
Following a career in public service at the City Attorney’s Office for the City and County of San Francisco, Ingrid entered private practice and over 15 years ago founded Evans Law Firm, Inc.
