JAMES G. GILYARD

The Evans Law Firm welcomes Attorney James G. Gilyard.   Mr. Gilyard is an experienced consumer fraud class action attorney who will be litigating consumer protection and elder abuse cases.  Prior to joining the Evans Law Firm, Mr. Gilyard gained substantial experience at some of the nation’s largest law firms litigating in several diverse practice areas, including: Toxic Torts, Intellectual Property, Environmental, Products Liability, Family, Employment, Imminent Domain, Plaintiffs’ Consumer Protection Class Actions and Plaintiffs’ Securities Class Actions.  He also clerked for the United States District Court for the Northern District of California under the Hon. Judge Martin J. Jenkins.

Prior to becoming an attorney, Mr. Gilyard served as an extern for the San Francisco Human Rights Commission and as a tutor for the Academic Support Program at the University of San Francisco School of Law, providing large group and individual instruction in the subjects of Torts, Constitutional Law, and Contracts for at risk minority law students.  He also served four years on active duty in the United States Marine Corps.
